Untitled Flower

I got the name of this bush/tree type plant with this flower that looks similar to a magnolia. However, when I got home I completely forgot the name. I will get it eventually.

The bloom is what reminded me of a magnolia most.

The petals of the flower are amazing in the amount of texture they have to them.

The bloom falls off all in one piece leaving only the piston. The leaves are thick and dark green.
